Last month at our DMQG meeting we had an ugly fat quarter swap. Sadly, I forgot mine at home (and I really made sure to scour for a really ugly one) but a couple of the gals had extra fat quarters & so I did go home with 1.
I felt obligated to make my ugly fat quarter into a block - i tried to mimick the design in the fabric, however I'm afraid of triangles, so I did it with 2" squares of the yellow. eh. I don't care for it. but I did it.
This green is the fat quarter I came home with- so I pulled out my left over christmas scraps & made a curved pieced block with simple curved quilting.
and here is the back- I'm pretty happy with it- I think it'd make a great Holiday Mug Rug! :)
